UCLA team today in Eugene, Oregon. This
is the half time score. If the Ducks lose this
game they will likely no longer be in the
top 25 teams.

I have joined a Zwift challenge called
"Tour of Watopia". The challenge is five rides
long, one each week.



The name C. Schlabitz is another rider
shown 7 meters behind me.

36 years ago a man in a pickup truck
rescued me when I ran out of gas when I
was moving from Lake Tahoe to Oregon.
That man drove me to a gas station then back
to my truck and asked for no payment. It has
been a "pay it forward" ever since. Today I got
to pay it forward by giving a fellow park resident
a ride to the airport. As it turned out the airline
cancelled the flight so I got to make the trip twice.

This was bath day for both Abby
and Dave. Abby likes baths but Dave
does not. I'm not sure how the groomer
handles Dave's baths but he is a real struggle.
Unfortunately I couldn't get a photo since
I had my hands full of shampoo and dogs.
 

Look how good Gwen is getting backing into
the carport. She needs to back close to the
awning support so there is plenty of room on
the opposite side to exit and enter the car.

Tuesday: October 6, 2026

Gwen and I went grocery shopping
at Sprouts, a grocery store we miss
in Oregon. We also visited a thrift shop
so I could find a light weight shirt to
wear when I Zwift to keep the flies off.
I purchased a cheap espresso machine in
Oregon and today I learned a great use for
it by pouring my espresso over vanilla
ice cream.

I joined Gwen's Monday night
group at the Taco Gero restaurant.
The Monday night special is a
$2.99 margarita. Gwen and I shared
one and we shared a taco dinner.

It has been months but I'm finally
back on a bike. I subscribed to Zwift again
today and rode 30 minutes. I need to break
my body in slowly.

This was SPA day for Abby!
I introduced Dave to Tina, Abby's
groomer. Tina says she grooms huskys.
I made an appointment for both in November.

way to Costco. As a cyclist, can I
trust motorists to read then follow
